I bleed Green & Gold so I'm a little bias but this might have really brought this team together. Mike Flannigan said the Packers felt they were going to win by 50 on Monday night.
Think about what happened on Sunday night. Their leader, Favre, who is always goofing off and never takes anything too seriously, suffers this great loss. He goes into their "Lombardi Snack," as they like to call their evening snack the day before the game, and gives this heart wrenching talk and tells the team he has made a commitment to the team so he will play. At the same time, other players who have suffered the same type of loss begin remembering what it was like for them and they bond together to help their leader through all of this. I haven't seen the players rally like this, on this team, ever.
The toughest game for this team now is probably this week. There is no way they can match the intensity they went through on Monday night. They need to somehow, someway get through this game and then they might be primed to go on a roll.
Time will tell but the story is certainly there to be written.
